GFL is an unofficial fan-built iOS application providing a private fantasy league framework for World Surf League Championship Tour events. The App allows you and your friend group to:
GFL is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the World Surf League, any CT event sponsor, any CT athlete, or any other surf media company. This is a fan project.
You must be at least 13 years old to use GFL. By using the App you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms.
GFL doesn't have accounts in the traditional sense. Your "identity" within the App is your iCloud account record ID, managed by Apple. You don't sign up with us; you sign in with iCloud at the device level. We have no access to your iCloud credentials.
You're responsible for protecting your iCloud account. We are not liable for actions taken by anyone with access to your iCloud-signed-in device.

Each league has one permanent commissioner (the league creator). The commissioner can:
Commissioner role is not transferable within the App. League members agree to abide by the commissioner's good-faith application of league rules.
GFL displays publicly-available data including CT athlete names, rankings, event names, and venue information. Such use is intended as factual sports reportage protected under CBC v. MLBAM (8th Cir. 2007) First Amendment principles for fantasy sports.
GFL does not claim any trademark or licensing rights over WSL marks, CT event sponsor marks, athlete names, or surf venue names. If you are a rights-holder and believe GFL's use exceeds fair use or factual reportage, contact [email protected]. We respond within 14 business days and will remove or modify content as appropriate.
If you are a CT athlete (or their authorized representative) and wish to have your name removed from GFL's surfer pool, contact [email protected]. We will honor removal requests within one app update cycle (typically 14 days).
GFL's registered DMCA agent is on file with the U.S. Copyright Office: copyright.gov/dmca-directory.
To file a DMCA takedown notice, send to: [email protected] with the elements required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3): identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material, your contact info, a statement of good-faith belief, a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury, and your physical or electronic signature.
GFL is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will GFL, its developer, or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, lost wagers (Space Cash or otherwise), reputational damage, or any other intangible loss arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the App will not exceed the amount you paid to GFL in the twelve months preceding the claim, which, since GFL is free, is zero dollars ($0.00).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GFL, its developer, and its affiliates from any claim or demand arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Ventura County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in-app via Settings → About and reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
