Sand-bottom beachbreak at the base of Morro Rock at the north end of Morro Bay. An exposed, often heavy stretch of beach that picks up the full west and northwest swell window with no shelter.

Moderate. Locals run the lineup on the days the bank is on. Water runs mid-50s°F — hooded full suits are standard.

No.
Exposed beachbreak with strong rip currents, heavy shorepound on size, cold water, and a lineup that gets serious when the bank lines up. Not a beginner wave.
Lineup etiquette
Beachbreak priority is per-wave, not by lineup position. A wave already taken from the peak isn't open to paddle into.

West through northwest groundswell with light offshore from the east through northeast. Mid-tide window.
