The App reads publicly available ocean, buoy, tide, and weather data from NOAA, NDBC, NWS, CDIP (Scripps Institution of Oceanography), Open-Meteo, and Windy.com, and presents spot-specific surf forecasts for Santa Barbara and Ventura County. It is a free, ad-free, subscription-free tool.
The App is not a safety service. It is not a substitute for direct visual observation, lifeguard advice, Coast Guard advisories, or any official marine forecast. Data may be wrong, stale, incomplete, or unavailable. You are solely responsible for your own safety in and around the ocean.
Specifically:
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We make no guarantees that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall the operator or any contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, including but not limited to damages for personal injury, drowning, property loss, lost surf, emotional distress, or any other damages, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.
You acknowledge that surfing is an inherently dangerous activity and that your decision to enter the water is yours alone.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator and any contributors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
The App does not collect, transmit, sell, share, or log your personal data. Everything (favorites, session logs, tunings) stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
The App reads public data from NOAA, NDBC, NWS, CDIP, and Open-Meteo, and embeds third-party views from Windy.com (wind map) and surf-cam providers (GRIT 805, City of Santa Barbara, Ventura Port District, video-monitoring.com, explore.org). Each source is used subject to its own terms of use and licensing (CDIP data © Scripps Institution of Oceanography; Open-Meteo licensed under CC BY 4.0; Windy embeds per Windy Terms §4 with attribution preserved). The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of these providers.
The App's source code, design, text, graphics, and user interface are the intellectual property of the operator and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without permission, except as permitted by fair use.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via the app listing. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App or any feature at any time without notice.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Santa Barbara County, California.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
